If you are reading this blog, then is seems you are considering the Low Carb Life. Well, it's easy, and I am here to show you just how it works.
First, it is important that you choose which Low Carb Diet you would like to follow. This blog and YouTube cooking show will be based mostly on the Atkin's Diet Plan.
Here are six simple steps to getting started:
1. Buy the book! Sure, you can lose weight without the book, but it will more than likely not be a success unless you understand 100% how this diet works. If you do not buy the book, use the Internet as a resource in understanding the Low Carb life.
2. Clean out! Go through the refrigerator and pantry and dispose all of the high-carb and tempting sweets. If those are left in the house while you're dieting, you will find yourself much more tempted to "cheat" during your diet.
3. Plan delicious things to eat! Plan your meals by saving some of your favorite recipes. Stock your house with low carb treats, foods and beverages. Remember, you can very easily eat out on this diet, but keep your house fully stocked.
4. Snacks! At work, you want to stock your desk with low carb snacks (ie: cheese sticks, almonds, sugar-free Jello.). Remember not to go over 3 hours without a snack. Don't go hungry!
5. Treat yourself! It's most important that you congratulate and encourage yourself through this entire process. Once you start to see the weight fall off, it's important that you treat yourself to a nice day at the spa (or turn your home into a day spa), a bubble bath, read your favorite book by a nice fire, or just treat yourself to anything that you will help you relieve stress.
6. Drink lots of water! Do I really need to explain why? :)
In the coming months, this blog will share ideas, recipes and answer any question you may have about the Low Carb Life. I'll be producing various cooking shows that will be posted on You Tube. You can read and watch me as I jump on board the Low Carb Life, and show you just how easy it is.
